Have you ever taken your children an airplane? And not any child(ren); but ages 5 and under? Well my friends it is absolutely fantastic. You pray the entire flight that they won’t break the person’s back in front of them because they are kicking the seat or keep lifting the little tray up and down from the seat in front of them so they are moving the persons seat like a seesaw, you pray none of them need to go potty because you’d have to somehow cram your body into the 2x4 bathroom, and last but not least…. You pray they do not cry or scream. If all your prayers come true, well, then you must walk on water and have some secret parenting technique! I decided to plan a trip to Marco Island. I always find myself envisioning these perfect trips with my kids and always encourage myself to keep on booking trips. I try to think of everything I can to prepare for a smooth flight. Lollipops when the flight is landing, woah dough to keep them engaged, tablets for movies, mess free coloring, puffy stickers, the entire snack aisle in Stop and Shop. I mean EVERYTHING. Let’s just say, all of prayers did not come true. I sat in one row with my 2.5 year old twins and my husband and my 5 year old were in another row. Yeah, my husband knew what he was doing. My son immediately starts with the little table tray and the women in front of us already looks like she’s on a seesaw, the puffy stickers are all over my face, and my youngest daughter yells poop.  I finally got them engaged with woah doah. They were finally silent for a bit… until…. My son decides to creates a fake poop and put it under the chair in front of us. He thinks it’s the funniest thing in the world. They are both yelling “boom Chaka Laka poo poo in the butt cheek” I was absolutely mortified. And then I said to myself “At least they aren’t crying.” While this is going on I look over and my husband and our oldest daughter are sound asleep. Now, I am sitting all alone with these two and the women in front of my son is still doing the seesaw as he’s playing with the tray table, she has fake sh*t under her seat, my children are screaming, and all I can think about is how we will be kicked out of our resort because my son will be pinching and biting random people with fake turds. (My ramble is over).
